Version:
ReportPortal 5.0, Build 198

Issue:
I create a SQL report that contains a date field and I use the Options/Columns/Formatting to set it to a date format. I then export the report to Excel xlsx, but when I open the file in Excel the date column shows as a 'custom' type and can't easily be converted to a date field without touching each cell in the column.

I also recreated the issue on your demo server. It's saved in the admin 'My Reports' folder as 'SQL Date Export Test'.

Is it possible to have date-formatted columns export to xlsx as dates?

Thanks!

Please try this fix (also deployed on the demo server):

1. Download and zunip: http://www.reportportal.com/download/rp_198_sql_Excel_Date.zip
2. Backup old files and copy unzipped to:
"C:\inetpub\wwwroot\ReportPortal\bin\ReportPortal.dll"
"C:\inetpub\wwwroot\ReportPortal\Excel2007\xl\styles.xml"

It's strange. After the fix, the Excel file shows that it's of type 'Date', but it still does not treat the field as Date unless you double-click into each cell (or hit F2) and then press enter. After that you can see the text alignment of the cell move from the left (general cell type) over to right-aligned like a proper date. Any other ideas?
