Hi I created a named set "bikes_no_touring" on the demo server (mountain+road bikes), it's working but i wish to get the sum of the two and not two columns, is there a way to get it? |

You can create a calculated member based on your named-set thus merging it into one member. In OLAP Report design mode, open calculated member dialog. Click on the folder icon to open your named set. |

I don't get what i need to test. I created 2 named set, one "bikes_touring" contain only category "bikes touring" and the second "bikes_no_touring" contain "bikes road" & "bikes mountain"
i can't understand how to get a report with only two lines with the correct agregate for this two named set, could you create a sample?
Thanks in advance |

Hello,
I am discovering thanks to this thread we can easily add named sets as dimension calculations; this is great, and it would be even greater if any named sets for a dimension attribute you set as a filter could appear under "calculations" of this filter automatically, without having to go through adding this calculation manually.
Is this possible ? If not, could this go to the "wish list" ? Many thanks !

François,
No, it is not currently possible to add a saved named set to a filter.
Would you like to see the items in the filter named-set aggregated or exploded? |

Hello,
thanks for your answer. I would like to see elements aggregated. Actually, the purpose is only to automate the proposed way of adding calculated fields to filters from the link you sent (http://www.reportportal.com/other/named_set_agg.gif). When you set a dimension attribute as a filter, and this attribute is having some named sets, you would directly be able to select them under a "calculation" section and to see results for the whole group of elements you defined on the named set.
Hope my explanation is not too confused !
Thanks.
