I would like to set the background color of a cell to red if it exceeds a fixed amount. I have done this successfully many times. However, I wish to display field A from our cube, but do the comparision against Field B which is not displayed.

We have a measure of time that is represented twice, once as decimal Field B (4.5) and Field A hh:mm:ss (4:30:00). I want to say if Field B > 4.0, then set background red for Field A

Complex kind of conditional formatting can be defined on SSAS server side. Here are few articles that explain how to do this:

http://www.bidn.com/blogs/DevinKnight/ssis/526/using-ssas-mdx-calculation-color-expressions
http://richardlees.blogspot.com/2008/11/elaborate-your-cubes-with-conditional.html

Next to see the formatting, please go to: Options > General tab > Enable Server Formatting.
