Hi -

I have a ReportPortal 2.2 on Windows 2003 server and SQL Server 2005. The SS2005 instance name is SS2005-1 so the instance string is on ServerName\SS2005-1 I log in as admin and go to Design > Olap Report > Connect to Cube; I click the link (Connect to Cube) however nothing happens and everything on the screen becomes unclickable. I wonder if anyone can shed some light on this.

I appreciate any help on this topic.

Thanks -

Hi,

We have ReportPortal 2.2 + SSAS2005 working without any problems.

Did you have the security on XMLA in IIS in integrated mode ?

This will help you to have a connection to the SSAS2005 server in the same box.

Marco

I have XMLA on IIS in Basic Authentication mode. Do I need to change? I think I followed the instructions of the intalltion.

I still can do almost all administration unctions, however, I can not connnect to the cube I created in BIDS. On a seperate not I have no problem connecting (browsing) through BIDS to the Cube Created.

Thanks for your help in advance here.

Hi,

Just change basic into integrated for XMLA in IIS and restart IIS.

In ReportPortal Admin > Connections you can test the XMLA connection string is this ok ?

Which name are you using for he server . / local or the name of the server or maybe better the ip address of the server

Are you able to connect to XMLA using the XMLA SDK sample application? You can download the compiled version here:
