Technical Architecture

The XMLA browser is using ms xml dll to communicate with the XML for Analysis Web Service.  The browser reads the xmla.wsdl to locate the web service.

The web service is implemented in an ISAPI dll (msxisapi.dll).  It in turn calls the Analysis Services.   The service reads datasources.xml configuration file to get the connection information for the available olap servers.
