Hi,
when trying to install Report Portal 5.0 Build 198 on a new machine I get the following error directly at the beginning:
The installer was interrupted before ReportPortal 5.0 could be installed. You need to restart the installer to try again.
.Net Framework 4.5 is installed and I tried installing Report Portal as administrator. |

1) Make sure that IIS is setup and ASP.NET is installed
2) Enable "IIS 6 management Compatibility". http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb397374(v=exchg.80).aspx http://www.reportportal.com/images/IIS_Vista.gif
3) If you receive the following error message: "Access denied, you must be an administrator of the remote computer to use this command..." please turn off UAC: a. Click Start, and then click Control Panel. b. In Control Panel, click User Accounts. c. In the User Accounts window, click User Accounts. d. In the User Accounts tasks window, click Turn User Account Control on or off. e. If UAC is currently configured in Admin Approval Mode, the User Account Control message appears. Click Continue. f. Clear the Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer check box, and then click OK. g. Click Restart Now to apply the change right away, or click Restart Later and close the User Accounts tasks window.
4) If you still get an error please try 'administrative install'. Follow these steps: a. Run msi_admin.reg b. Right click on ReportPortalSetup.msi and select "Install As Administrator" Alternatively, you can run ReportPortalSetup.msi in the Command Prompt using these steps: a. Click on the Start button b. In the Search field type 'CMD' (no quotes). Do not press Enter c. In the search results field right click on Command Prompt and select 'Run as Administrator' d. In the command prompt windows type the following msiexec /i c:\ReportPortalSetup.msi where c:\ReportPortalSetup.msi is the path to the msi file e. Complete the installation as normal
