Hi,

Do you have installation manual and system requirements for reportportal 5? Looks like the one in documentation is outdated.

Yes, video is good, but I asked about written step-by-step guide for installation as well as system requirements (CPU,RAM, OS, SQL features).

Client Requirements (from http://reportportal.us/ReportPortal/help/index.aspx?page=main.htm):
ReportPortal is a client application that provides access to various data sources over the Internet. The application requires no client side software. It can run on Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher, Firefox, Safari or Chrome.

Step-by-step guide for installation (from readme.txt http://www.reportportal.com/download/ReportPortal5.zip)

Required Components:

1. Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0.

2. Microsoft SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008, 2012, 2014 or 2016. Both database engine and Analysis Services are required but can be installed on a separate server.

2.a. If you are connecting to Microsoft SQL Server 2000:
- Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Olap Services 8.0 *
- XMLA SDK 1.1
- MSXML 4.0

2.b. If you are connecting to Microsoft SQL Server 2005:
- Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Olap Services 9.0 *

2.c. If you are connecting to Microsoft SQL Server 2008:
- Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Olap Services 10.0 *

2.d. If you are connecting to Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2:
- Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Olap Services 10.0 *

2.e. If you are connecting to Microsoft SQL Server 2012:
- Microsoft Analysis Services OLE DB Provider for Microsoft SQL Server 2012 *

2.f. If you are connecting to Microsoft SQL Server 2014:
- Microsoft Analysis Services OLE DB Provider for Microsoft SQL Server 2014 *

2.g. If you are connecting to Microsoft SQL Server 2016:
- Microsoft Analysis Services OLE DB Provider for Microsoft SQL Server 2016 *

* Required only when IIS and SSAS are on different servers


If your operating system is Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2012 please:

1) Make sure that IIS is setup and ASP.NET is installed

2) Enable "IIS 6 management Capability".

3) If you receive the following error message: "Access denied, you must be an administrator of the remote computer to use this command..." please turn off UAC:
a. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
b. In Control Panel, click User Accounts.
c. In the User Accounts window, click User Accounts.
d. In the User Accounts tasks window, click Turn User Account Control on or off.
e. If UAC is currently configured in Admin Approval Mode, the User Account Control message appears. Click Continue.
f. Clear the Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer check box, and then click OK.
g. Click Restart Now to apply the change right away, or click Restart Later and close the User Accounts tasks window.

4) If you still get an error please try 'administrative install'. Follow these steps:
a. Run msi_admin.reg
b. Right click on ReportPortalSetup.msi and select "Install As Administrator"

Alternatively, you can run ReportPortalSetup.msi in the Command Prompt using these steps:
a. Click on the Start button
b. In the Search field type 'CMD' (no quotes). Do not press Enter
c. In the search results field right click on Command Prompt and select 'Run as Administrator'
d. In the command prompt windows type the following
msiexec /i c:\ReportPortalSetup.msi
where c:\ReportPortalSetup.msi is the path to the msi file
e. Complete the installation as normal
