Hi there,

We are trying to upgrade our server in our operations.

1. Could someone please advise me on how I should go about transfering an entire Report Portal operation from one machie to another? This would include the reports, setup files, configuration etc.

2. My existing machine and the new one has got different build versions. Is that going top be an issue?

3. I notice that there was an EXPORT function under Admin. Where can I find the IMPORT function if any?

Thanks,
Bob

Hi,

There are different ways.

You can export / import the reports.

Maybe it is more wise to update the existing reportportal server to the latest build with using existing reportportal repository and install teh latest build also on the new server. And just copy the existing reportportal repository to the new server.

Best regards,
Marco.

The export page creates SQL scripts that you can execute on the target SQL server database. Alternatively, you can backup and restore the database.

The coming release 156 will have the ability to export AND import reports using XML format.
