Posted - 02/02/2024 : 01:31:31 Romo also has a reputation whether earned or not for making huge mistakes when under pressure. This is where the argument goes left: With the blitz, you're going to get Dez Bryant targeted in coverage. Why would you want these problems?
OK So this time, they chose not to send the rookie seventh-rounder out there on Dez rather, they decided to put their best corner on him: Johnathan Joseph. Whoop-de-damn-do. After the ball was snapped and Romo saw the safety that was favored by Bryant's side of the field go to the middleof the field, it wasn't a difference which player was in front of him. Romo just chucked that ball up in Dez's direction before falling to stay out of the way of a brutal strike by Texans Safety D.J. Swearinger and was aware that if the ball was close to the line Bryant would get it.
That's precisely what Dez did and did it in a spectacular manner.
Joseph was in a good position and, in all honesty the player probably should have been penalized for pass interference, since Joseph never glanced back at the ball and put his hands in Bryant's direction. None of that mattered. It doesn't matter.
Bryant took off over Joseph and reached up over his head to make the catch before he bobbed the ball, he locked it before he hit the ground with Joseph in the middle. He's just too big and strong for one man to let him the chance to jump on a ball. In a matter of seconds, the ball was 37 yards away. Bryant had put his team into field goal range and in a position to win the game.
Yes, some receivers are taller and larger. Some are definitely faster too. However, if it was up to me, I would choose Dez Bryant over everyone else every time because know he can make the same plays as he did each and every game no matter who you put on him.
With just four games this week, there are only one or two venues to be concerned about weather-wise. Start with the games scheduled for Saturday with Cincinnati and Houston located at Reliant Stadium and Minnesota and Green Bay at Lambeau Field.
Houston is likely to see showers , but with rain likely in the early afternoon most likely, the fans from Reliant Stadium will close the roof so this could be much more of an indoor game as opposed to an outdoor. In Wisconsin and at Lambeu Field, a weak disturbance is expected to sweep through the region late Saturday night, creating snow, sleet and possible freezing rain. Expect temperatures to be in the 20s.
There's a reason that the Detroit Lions wide receiver wants to be the diva. That's not new for his position in Madden NFL 24 because recent history is littered by wide receivers who are awed by the spotlight, throw tantrums or change their names to their uniform numbers in Spanish. Wide receivers are usually expected to come with drama and/or demands in the present therefore, perhaps Young is feeling a sense of positional entitlement.
Young but wants to stage an action from a stage which does not exist. If Terrell Owens makes a head-scratching quote, you accept it. If Chad Ochocinco ruffles some feathers however, it's ignored. Titus Young cannot afford such things.
