Our Report Portal is installed on a 32-bit box running SQL 2000 with the latest service pack. We're moving our DW to new 64-bit hardware running SQL 2005. I'd like to create RP reports on the current box that point to AS 2005 cube on the new servers. Anyone know how to do this?

FWIW, I've followed the instructions here:

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/sql/2005/httpasws.mspx

and I *can* successfully connect to the new server via the MDX sample application on the old server, but if I try to connect via the XML for Analysis Setup app, I get 401 permissions errors. I've tried all sorts of logins that should be authorized. Any ideas out there?:

There is no 64-bit XMLA SDK for AS 2000. Your options:

1) You can try to run it in WoW mode. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WOW64)
2) Use 32-bit Web server connected to 64-bit db server
3) Use AS 2005
