I would like to know if there is any future build that will support .NET 2.0 framework.

ReportPortal runs on .NET 1.1 because the majority of servers do not have .NET 2.0 framework installed on them. ReportPortal will be migrated to .NET 2.0 when it becomes more popular.

In any case, both 1.1 and 2.0 .NET frameworks can run side by side. So you should not be restricted to in any way.
