Posted - 01/31/2006 : 03:00:46 When attempting to connect to an OLAP cube to build a new report I get the following error:
Error: There are no catalogs available in the current session.
It is a Win 2003 server and I have checked that parent paths, ASP pages and ISAPI extenstion are enabled.
I have checked that the anonomyous user from the XMLA virtual directory has access to the OLAP databases and that the OLAP server is running.
Problem seems to have developed since Win 2003 service pack 1 was installed.
HELP???

Please try using another windows user. Give this user cube permissions and assign him to XMLA virtual directory or a user (if using SSAS Security). |

I have Win 2003 Web Edition Server, SP 1. I did try the with the Sample Application and I experienced the same behavior, I can see datasources but no catalogs. I did configure this manually...
Thanks, |

Do you also have Win 2003 server + SP 1?
Have you tried testing the XMLA web service with XMLA SDK Sample Application?
Have you tried to manually configure the XMLA virtual directory?

Posted - 02/06/2006 : 19:34:33 Please try to disable Xmla Sessions. Go to Admin > Settings > OLAP Report > Xmla Session Enabled > Check and Save. |
