paulow1978	Posted - 11/19/2009 : 09:28:03 Hi there, I am trying to install report portal on a windows xp machine. My reporting server is Microsoft sql 2008. I can connect to the sql box using odbc with the correct sa username and password and I have double checked it however on install of report portal it is saying that the sa user login has failed any help greatly appreciated! thanks, Paul

admin	Posted - 11/19/2009 : 20:36:38 Please try this: On �SQL Server Analysis Services Selection� page select: Not Used / Already Configured. If your installation is successful you can setup XMLA connection manually by creating XMLA virtual directory as described this document: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc917711.aspx You can register the connection in ReportPortal. Go to Admin > Connections. Select XMLA URL for connection type and xmla/msmdpump.dll for connection string. Click Add to add the connection.
