Hi, I have a running Report Portal 3.0 with SQL Server 2000. And now I want to make an xmla connection to SSAS. The problem is I'm stuck... Can anyone help me with a step by step explanation ?

It still won't work. Is there anything to set on the SQL Server 2005 ? I'm also a newbie in using 2005.

Edit : I've solved it, the problem is I haven't installed the AS OLE Driver... Once I installed it I could use Start Menu -> All Programs ->Report Portal -> Application Setup to set up the connection.

Marco:And in ReportPortal > Admin add a new SSAS connection to SSAS 2005, SSAS2008 or SSAS2008R2

Did you mean in Admin->Connections->Type->SSAS or Type->XMLA URL ?

Hi,

Just follow the steps:

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc917711.aspx

And in ReportPortal > Admin add a new SSAS connection to SSAS 2005, SSAS2008 or SSAS2008R2
