i want to use domain user or machine based user in the report portal.
Can someone please guide me as i am trying to create but it is not allowing me to login.

what are the steps to do it. or if someone can refer to any tutorial.

There are two ways to get a windows user login to ReportPortal:

1) Using Windows or Mixed Authentication Mode (Admin > Settings > Security > Security Authentication Mode = Mixed)

2) Using Pass-through Authentication (Admin > Settings > Security > Enable pass-through authentication). Note that in this case Basic Authentication has to be enabled on the login page (Login.aspx) using IIS Admin.

Note that in both cases the users have to be granted access to ReportPortal first. This can be done by importing users (through sync users) or by setting up a Windows Based Role.
