Posted - 01/24/2008 : 14:02:12 I just completed and install of RP. SQL2005 Server2003
When I point the browser to http://150452-www/ReportPortal/login.aspx I receive a "Page not found error" If I point the browser to one of the TXT files in the RP directory it displays fine. Ex. http://150452-www/reportportal/BuildNumber.txt
The RP XMLA setup completes and connects fine, I just can't get the webpages to display.

Posted - 08/21/2009 : 17:25:55 Please try to create a new virtual directory called ReportPortal2 pointing to the same folder: C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\ReportPortal. Does this problem do way when you browse the application from the new virtual directory? If yes, delete and recreate ReportPortal virtual directory. |

I'm experiencing this same problem but with build 164. The whole config is: IIS Server: Windows 2003 SQL Server: Windows 2003 (a separate server) SQL Server Version: 2005.
The server where I'm installing (The IIS one) had the demo version installed. It was briefly promoted as Domain Controller and the demo version stopped working (it was about to expire anyway). Later the server was demoted (stopped being the domain controller) but still the demo version was not working. At that time the demo was expired. We installed a valid license, hoping this would solved the issue but it didn't
Any ideas??? |

Posted - 07/22/2009 : 01:03:21 Re: HTTP Error 403.1 - Forbidden: Execute access is denied problem
Please try the following:
1. Start Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager. 2. Right-click ReportPortal virtual directory, and then click Properties. 3. Click the virtual directory tab. 4. Under Application settings, click either Scripts only in the Execute permissions list. 5. Click OK. 6. Quit IIS Manager.
If this doe not work please try changing the anonymous user for the ReportPortal virtual directory to another user that has read/execute access to the physical folder (C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\ReportPortal). |

Posted - 07/20/2009 : 11:15:14 I just recently installed ReportPortal 3.0 and verified that the settings mentioned in the previous post were set, but I'm still getting this error page when bringing up the application.
The page cannot be displayed You have attempted to execute a CGI, ISAPI, or other executable program from a directory that does not allow programs to be executed. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please try the following:

Posted - 02/27/2008 : 00:24:25 Hi...
I too just installed RP today and had the same problem. As you mentioned the XMLA connection works...it says sucessfully connected but you get the 'page cannot be displayed error message'. It also helps if you uncheck the this as well: Internet Explorer > Tools.. > Internet Options > Advanced Tab > Uncheck "Show Friendly Error Messages".
What I had to do was to make sure was in IIS, web services extension, make sure that allow ASP.Net, XMLA,Active Server Pages and dont forget to enable all ISAPI extensions.
Yes...make sure that you have ASP.net is installed.
Good luck.
