Installing Crystal Reports - Crystal Reports 9.0 and up
- Install Crystal Reports server engine on the web server by using of the following methods:
- Install Crystal Reports with installation of Visual Studio 2003, 2005 or 2008.
Crystal Reports came integrated with Visual Studio versions prior to 2010.
- Download from SAP.com.
- Make sure that ASPNET user has full access to the temp folder
(defined under Admin > Settings > Temp Folder Path).
- Setup connections for Crystal Reports on the Admin > Sql Connections page.
- If the OS is 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 2008 or up, make sure that ReportPortal application pool is set to 32-bit.
Installing Crystal Reports - Crystal Reports 8.0 and 8.5

ReportPortal supports Crystal Reports 8.0 and up.
When multiple versions of Crystal Reports are installed on your server,
ReportPortal will pick the latest version.

For versions Crystal Reports 8.0 ReportPortal will use
ActiveX Viewer that is supplied with Crystal Reports.
Please copy ActiveXViewer.cab from "C:\Program Files\Seagate Software\Viewers\ActiveXViewer"
to "ReportPortal\crystal" folder.

For versions Crystal Reports 8.5 you will need to install Crystal Enterprise.
ReportPortal will use ActiveX Viewer that is supplied with Crystal Reports.
Please copy ActiveXViewer.cab to "ReportPortal\crystal" folder.
The following example shows how to install Seagate Crystal Reports 8.0.
Make sure that Web Component Server is selected.
Make sure that Seagate Page Server has automatic startup type and is running:
- For Crystal Reports 8.0 and 8.5, make sure that IIS anonymous user has full access to the
ReportPortal\crystal\temp folder.
