I try to install the trial version
1) Install XML for Analysis SDK 1.1
2) Install program files
3) Setup Database

I just do these steps. When I try this step:

4) Login to the Application
* Login using user id: admin password: admin

I get an error:
The page cannot be displayed.

what's I wrong?
Thanks in advance

Lorenzo

What is the error message that you receive besides "The page cannot be displayed"?

If you are using Internet Explorer you may have to turn off "Friendly HTTP Error Messages" before you will get any useful information. To do this, go to Tools >> Internet Options... >> click the Advanced Tab >> Uncheck the "Show Friendly HTTP Error Messages" option.

Once you have turned off the Friendly HTTP Error messages, you should get an error that is a little more descriptive which may help you troubleshoot your problem.

Thanks igorkrupitsky!! I got after running tables.sql
Perhaps your script tables.sql in your last report portal zip file missed out the column "owcVersionID".

Ok also for me after running again tables.sql.

But I get other errors when I go in Design->Olap report:
unable to process the request, because the datasourceinfo property was missing and not correctly specified.

With the same datasourceinfo when I go in Design->OWC Olap report it works! But id I ask a chart I get the error:
Parameter non valid in line 2, char 5606 source owc/owc.asp

The error suggests that XML/A SDK was not properly installed.

XMLA SDK 1.1 requires MSXML 4.0. It can be downloaded here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=3144b72b-b4f2-46da-b4b6-c5d7485f2b42&DisplayLang=en. Try using the SDK sample application (http://www.reportportal.com/XmlaSampleApp.zip) to make sure that XMLA SDK is properly installed.

You can also test the connection with this page http://www.reportportal.com/MDX.htm. Please save this page to desktop before running it. Sometime it is necessary to restart the IIS service or the PC for the XML/A web service to work.

Did you check to verify .net 2.0 was enabled on IIS?
