Hi,

We've got RP connected to SSAS and when creating reports I cant seem to get rid of the "all" row in most of our reports. Obviously when charting this it looks odd because i have a row which is the sum of all the others. i can only get rid of it by using filters, but that is a pain!

Like this...

Name Jan Feb Mar
+All 9999 999 999
Cat1 99 99 9
Cat2 9 999 999

This "all" row doesnt appear in Excel when connecting to the same cube? Is it a cube issue or something I can turn off in report portal?

Hi,

In SSAS you can have a show all for dimensions and measures.

This is very usefull for dimensions with hierarchies.

If you only want to see the items and no calculations like all you can choose in the fieldlist in ReportPortal the attribute of a dimension. Than you don't have all and you can add a total below the table if you like.

Sample:

You will see the "all" row only when you select the entire dimension hierarchy. In the field list expand the dimension hierarchy and select a level only.

Thanks all.

It looks like the issue is that we need to collapse some of our independent dimensions into dimension hierarchies which will solve some of the issues. going through the demo on adventure works really helped.
