I have a server with several IPs, and I have in IIS configured several sites one for each of those IPs, in one of them I have published an instance of ReportPortal, I would need to install a new instance of ReportPortal on the same server; but I need to refer to a new database, which I need to create on another database server. Should I do it manually? Is there a problem or incompatibility?

Regards.

Thanks for the reply.

I imagined that it would not be possible to keep two or more installations on the same server, it will be more complicated to manage the copies.

Well, I think I'll include it in the wish list.

You can copy ReportPortal virtual directory. However, you will have to manually update it. Steps:

1. Copy ReportPortal virtual directory from C:\inetpub\wwwroot\ReportPortal to C:\inetpub\wwwroot\ReportPortal2
2. Create Report portal virtual directory under the new site and point it to the copied folder
3. Backup ReportPortal database and restore it on the new server
4. Point the new virtual directory to the restored database database: Open C:\inetpub\wwwroot\ReportPortal2\xmla.udl.
