Is there any more information on the mshtml.dll crash? It has become a very regular crash while trying to build / design OLAP reports using I.E 7. The crash always occurs going to "view" mode or opening the report folder.

Is this related to Google toolbars?

TIA -- Ron

My thanks to all for the responses. This is the error info --

AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 7.0.6000.16414 ModName: mshtml.dll
ModVer: 7.0.6000.16414 Offset: 00094a04

The common message is to go back to IE 6

Hello Marco

Quoting from my own post on Nov 14:

Since I updated to IE 7 I seem to crash when saving an OLAP report. It does not happen every time, but about 60% of the time.

Here is the snip from "helpful" MS when it crashes.

AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 7.0.5730.11 ModName: mshtml.dll
ModVer: 7.0.5730.11 Offset: 000c1c17

I cannot say for sure, but it sounds like the same problem as Ron is having. However I "fixed" it by going back to ie 6. Perhaps RP or MS have issued fixes since Nov that will have fixed the issue.

Thank you,
Bruce

Hi,

I am using IE 7 Dutch now for more than 1.5 month without problems with ReportPortal in design and view mode.

Which errors do you have ?

Ron

I gave up using RP with ie 7. As a report viewer it seemed OK, but creating reports was terrible.

I uninstalled back to ie 6 and all the problems went away.
