I am myself using Report Portal & Lotus Notes (with a Domino server); no problem so far in distributing e-mails.

Does your Lotus Notes server support SMTP interface? If it does, as this IBM article (http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus/library/smtp-dmz1/) suggests than you should be able to point ReportPortal to it using this page: Admin > Settings > Email.
